postcards

making strides.

sometimes when friends ask me what i want from whatever place they're visiting i request a postcard. i started a small collection many moons ago. i value any handwritten notes sent via snail mail. it's intimate.

i made some postcards of my own.

a breakthrough

it's amazing when people get together and start making things happen. my friend dave aujero came by to visit after his 10 month sabbatical in peru. who knew he would be the one to solve my website dilemma... a link to navigate to this here blog. it was a win-win situation. he got to dust off his interactive media making skills, get some motivation to start his future website and i got a link :)

this website making stuff started in '06 and has been a hair pulling process for me. i wanted to create it on my own to save money and be self-reliant. i got as far as having a flash template to showcase my portfolio but nothing to connect it to my blog. two years later i broke down and bought services through bludomain because their templates allowed this. that was a total bust. bludomain has done fantastic work with other sites but not for mine. they didn't even render the services i purchased last year in october. i'm still waiting for a response back and a refund.

the good news is that after today's breakthrough with my website the sky's the limit!

collage fun time!

i finally got around to taking my pic for the pickleman productions website. my camera was set on the tripod next to the bathroom mirror. ever notice how self-portraits never really turn out exactly how you pose yourself in the mirror? i took a few worthy head shots and then that's when the fun began. why not subject myself to being my own subject?

silky satin smooth

my new business cards are soooo silky satin smoooooth. i love them, love them, love them. i hand them out and i watch people rub them between their fingers. you can't help it. very durable too.

"look at that subtle off-white coloring. the tasteful thickness of it. oh my god, it even has a watermark." (hehehe... this movie rawks)

my good friend justin, who is a graphic designer for signs by tomorrow, helped revamp my original design.

his work also does vinyl sticker stuff for vehicles and they make all sorts of signage goodies with cool materials like faux bricks and faux bamboo walls.

for my car, he made a sticker of my website addy to put on my back window.



i get giddy looking at it in my rear view mirror.

new albums

i finally added new albums to my main website: seedlings, couplings and petography. eventually i'll revamp the site so i can link this blog and other sites on there. i need to find an easy-to-update flash template that will help me do this.

i'm back

i'm back. thanks to a rawkin' dear friend of mine, Anne K. in L.A., for motivating me to jump start my photography blog. please stay tuned as i dig up digital treasures to share with everyone once again...
