Day #68: envelopes

i recycled the inserts and saved the envelopes to reuse later.

Day #67: food containers

reusing food containers from take out orders.

Day #64: cardboard

reuse cardboard for art projects. my work place has lots of cardboard goodies from all the packaging the posters come in.

Day #60: cardboard

cardboard is so useful. i've been reusing this cardboard piece to fold laundry on my bed. i think i've had this for over a year. the kitties love to sleep on top of the bed so using the board totally keeps the fur from clinging on the clean clothes.

Day #45: presentation

this valentine's day marks six years of the hubby and i being married. even though we said we wouldn't do gifts this year, he got me something anyways. he even tied a newspaper ribbon around the box! i give my hubby R3 props!

Day #44: thrifty shopping

i finally found a cute winter black dress coat! i found it at thrift store city, one of the largest second-hand stores in the tidewater area. it cost me a whopping $10 which is kinda expensive for thrift store shopping but totally saved me some money in buying a brand new coat that i'd only get to wear maybe two or three times every winter season. shopping in thrift stores is also helpful in reducing landfill waste.

Day #41: my buddy

trying to reduce the amount of plastic water bottles being purchased as well as my high fructose corn syrup intake.

Day #39: tabs

while shooting these tabs i remembered one of my favorite cartoons called "the littles." the littles could use these tabs to make rims for their cars i bet.

i also remembered a type of game i learned when i was a tween. while bending the tab back and forth on the can you say the alphabet and whatever letter it ended up breaking off on is the first letter of the person that likes you likes you.

and yes... i will be reusing these tabs for something really cool and then later to be recycled :)

Day #35: still collecting!

it's going to be the coolest fort ever!

Day #31: clever containers

spackle work had to be done in the house and the hubby used an old plastic chinese take-out container to mix the spackle in. what was even cooler about doing that was being able to cover up the leftover mixture so it could be reused later!

Day #27: the rap on gift wrap

these are goodies i collected from my recent life anniversary celebration. they will be reused for wrapping up future life anniversary surpresents for friends and family. some of the tissue paper have fun designs and could also be reused for possible craft projects!

i plan on not having to buy any more gift wrapping/tissue paper this year and be creatively resourceful.

adobi and pixel love the new squeaky toy auntie anne got them. they love mr. squeaky so much that they took his insides out. normally, we would end up throwing the doggies damaged toys in the trash but this time we wised up and have kept re-stuffing mr. squeaky.
